Street Blockage

Events, Festivals and Parades

Organizations or groups interested in organizing a festival or event on city streets that request a street(s) to be shut down should complete a Street Blockage Permit Form and return it to the City of Beavercreek's Public Service Division by emailing publicservice@beavercreekohio.gov. Once completed, a city staff member will reach out to let the submitter know if the permit is approved or rejected.

For runs and block parties, signs are posted and/or barricades are dropped off the day prior during the normal workday and picked up the following week during the normal workday.

5K Runs

Organizations or groups interested in organizing a run or walk (5K or otherwise) should request a permit from the Public Service Department. There are 2 acceptable 5k routes that have been approved by the City:

1. Start and end is at Dominick Lofino Park, the route takes runners through the neighborhood. Race organizer will be charged a $100 application fee.

2. Start and end at E.J. Nutter Park, the route takes runners along Creekside Trail. This course is a loop, where runners will turn around prior to Grange Hall Road. There is no application fee for this route.

No race may begin or end at Beavercreek Station, Fifth Third Gateway Park, Grange Hall Road Bike Access or Angels Pass. No new races will be accepted requesting to use the “popcorn festival” or “resolution” routes.

City streets will not be closed, nor will “No Parking” signs be posted.

Organizations will be required to provide volunteers at each cross street to aid in safety. These volunteers will need to wear safety vests and/or T-shirts identifying them as volunteers. A request for assistance may go out to the COPP organization.

Each department has the authority to reject the 5K permit and request revisions. The final approved application and course map will be held in the Public Service department. If a department rejects the permit, it will be up to that office to contact the race organizer and notify the other departments.

Application fees are due at the time of application and will be processed through the Public Service Division.
