[ARCHIVED] 2019 State of the City and Municipal Budget

2019 State of the City2

The 2019 State of the City address was delivered by City Manager Pete Landrum during the December 9th City Council meeting.  The State of the City provides citizens with the current fiscal accountability and operational capital accomplishments of the city; presents the upcoming municipal budget; and, near future plans for city improvements to maintain or enhance facilities and service delivery.

All of Beavercreek will remember 2019 as a year the community came together and stood “Beavercreek Strong.”  During the evening hours on Memorial Day, the weather brought multiple tornadoes to the area, resulting in major damage throughout Beavercreek.  The damage to the area was unimaginable, but brought a community closer together through volunteers, donations, neighbors helping neighbors, and communities from all around the area reaching out to help.  With all that happened over this weekend, the community is continuing to move forward and looking forward to 2020.

The State of the City highlighted the accomplishments and heartache of the past year and focused on near future plans for 2020.  As in past years, staff continues to find creative ways to stretch city tax dollars utilizing new operational approaches while maintaining quality services to residents.
