[ARCHIVED] City Actively Following the COVID-19 Situation

1-Stacked-4C

The City of Beavercreek is closely monitoring the developments and what it means to you.  Reports from Ohio and Greene County Public Health Agencies, as well as other resources, are being received on a daily basis.

Health agencies are recommending normal hygiene practices as the best protection against contracting the virus.  Wash hands with water and soap/sanitizer, at least 20 seconds; avoid contact with sick people; do not touch eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

The virus is commonly spread from an infected person through the air by coughing and sneezing; touching or shaking hands; touching an object or surface with the virus on it, then touching your face before washing your hands.

The city will continue to monitor the situation and keep the public informed of any changes.  If it would become necessary for city closures, the city will issue a press release via all social media sites and local media channels.

It is important to get the facts from reliable sources, stay alert and remain calm.
