Pete Bales is beginning his first term on Beavercreek City Council after being elected in November of 2019.
Pete is married to Amanda and has two children, Jack and Cara.
Councilman Bales is a lifelong resident of Beavercreek and a 1990 graduate of Beavercreek High School and a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Education.
After college, he began his municipal career with the City of Beavercreek in the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. He served the City of Beavercreek for nearly seven years before becoming the Parks and Recreation Director in Fairborn. After ten years in the parks and recreation field, Pete moved up to become the Public Administrative Services Director where he led the Engineering, Streets, Water and Sewer, Equipment Maintenance and Parks and Recreation Departments. In 2015, Pete was promoted once again to Assistant City Manager where he supervised the Human Resources and Information Technology Departments and spearheaded many special economic development projects on behalf of the city.
Pete enjoys being active in the community. He has volunteered on the Beavercreek Parks and Recreation Master Plan Committee, the Beavercreek Golf Club Advisory Board, at Owens Place and on his Homeowners Association Board.
