[ARCHIVED] City Announces Streets and Curbs included in 2024 Street Resurfacing and Curb Replacement Program

Resurfacing

In an effort to enhance the quality and safety of its roadways, the City of Beavercreek has announced its 2024 plans for its annual Street Resurfacing and Curb Replacement Program.

With a dedicated investment of $2.5 million, the city aims to revitalize several residential streets and address curb deterioration throughout the community. In 2024, the program will include the resurfacing of approximately 7.41 centerline miles of streets and the replacement of roughly 1.92 centerline miles of curbs.

Prioritization of resurfacing projects is based on Pavement Condition Ratings (PCR), with streets receiving the lowest ratings getting top priority. The city adheres to evaluation standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), ensuring thorough assessments and adherence to best practices in pavement maintenance.

Curb replacement efforts will be synchronized with street resurfacing projects. This includes replacing deteriorated sections of curbing and upgrading non-conforming aprons to meet city standards.
