[ARCHIVED] Redevelopment of Beaver Valley Shopping Center

Press Release 1-17-19 Pictures1_Page_4

In 2018, the City of Beavercreek received a $10,000 grant from our partners at the Greene County CIC, with a $10,000 match by the City. The funds were applied toward a visioning plan for the Beaver Valley Shopping Center.  “The City has had interest in the redevelopment of the area for several years”, said City Manager Pete Landrum.  The Greene County CIC has provided EDIP (Economic Development Incentive Program) grants to seven Beavercreek companies totaling $525,000, The EDIP grant is designed to promote economic development, business expansion, and job creation.  The visioning plan hopefully spurs interest in the area and the EDIP grant could potentially assist in making it possible (Non-Retail).  “The Beaver Valley Shopping Center area has great untapped potential and we are hoping others will catch the vision”, said Landrum.

The Beaver Valley Shopping Center is located at the Route 35 and North Fairfield Road interchange, which recently lost its anchor tenant, the Lofino Marketplace. Staff worked with Ken Seidl, a local architect, over the course of a several months to develop preliminary concepts and renderings for what is envisioned as potential development options for this area. Reinvestment has already occurred with the construction of the Flying Ace Carwash, following the tear down the vacant Burger King restaurant, as well as the renovations to the former Eastgate Ford by SVG Motors in the northwest sector of the property for a new car dealership. It was also just announced that Wings Sports Bar and Grill will be occupying the Beef O’Brady’s restaurant on January 18th.Beaver Valley 2

Uses that could be considered for this site would include office, retail, restaurant, hotels and the potential for some mixed use residential. Additional larger scale plans, renderings, and aerials have been attached and a video of a flythrough of the site can be found here:
