The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) has recently circulated a request for new projects utilizing Federal FAST Act funding. The project types that are eligible under the program are Surface Transportation Program (STP projects and Transportation Alternative (TA) projects. Project Funding under these programs are awarded on a competitive basis, with funds being available as early as State Fiscal Year 2025 (July 2024) for standard STP and TA projects.
After evaluating the requirements of the MVRPC funding programs and has generated a number of funding applications that should be eligible to submit to MVRPC for financial assistance in the categories described above.

In May Beavercreek voters approved a 2 mill continuous renewal street levy that helps provide capital dollars necessary to continue aggressive grant applications and to fund local projects that are not grant fund eligible. The 2 mill street levy generates funds dedicated to the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repairs of streets, roads and bridges.
We will continue to stretch local dollars by continuing our aggressive grant applications for federal and state funds. This levy is critical to our ability to address infrastructure. The focus will be on the entire infrastructure of the street ensuring that we address this critical infrastructure. “The City of Beavercreek is thankful for the continued support and partnership with our community” said Pete Landrum, City Manager. The City should find out if any of the applications are successful early in 2020
