[ARCHIVED] 2020 State of the City Address and 2021 Municipal Budget Presentation

State of the City 2020

The City of Beavercreek City Manager, Pete E. Landrum, presented the State of the City address for 2020 to the community during the December 14, 2020 City Council Meeting.   During the meeting, Mr. Landrum also presented the 2021 Municipal Budget to City Council.

Public Budget Work Sessions were conducted on November 16th and 19th with staff and City Council and included citizen input.

The State of the City is an opportunity to showcase the progress the City has made over the last year, provide future goals, and to highlight the success from staff and the community even with 2020’s many challenges.

The presentation focused on future planned initiatives for 2021 and beyond.  It highlighted the infrastructure needs and capital forecasting.   As stressed in the past State of the City addresses, infrastructure needs throughout the City remain a priority.  Staff continues to find creative ways to stretch City tax dollars utilizing new operational approaches while maintaining excellent services to residents.

Our Promise to Residents:  The City will continue to serve residents efficiently and in the most cost effective manner for the services desired by the residents and for which are able to be supported.  “It is an honor to serve the residents of the great City of Beavercreek”, said Landrum.

After the presentation by the city manager, City Council passed the 2021 Budget and Annual Appropriations.
