The Beavercreek Police Department would like to invite Beavercreek residents to clean out their medicine cabinets. The department will be taking part in Drug Take Back Day on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The department will accept expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. They can be dropped off at 1388 Research Park Drive during the times listed above.
Pills must be taken out of its container or packaging, and placed in a clear bag. The department cannot accept liquids, sharp items such as needles, or inhalers.
The department's goal is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible way of disposing prescription drugs and educate the public about the potential for abuse of medications. Proper disposal also helps the environment.
The police department also provides a year-round drop off location in its lobby.
