[ARCHIVED] Wendy Rodgers named 2022 Grand Marshal of Beavercreek’s 4th of July Celebration

Wendy Rodgers

The City of Beavercreek will celebrate Independence Day on Monday, July 4, with Wendy Rodgers, President and CEO of the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce, presiding as Grand Marshal over the festivities.

Rodgers became President and CEO of the Chamber in August 2021. Prior to the role, she served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and held the positions of Vice Chair and Chair. Rodgers is an advocate for the business community and helps to coordinate resources and services for businesses in Beavercreek.

“The Chamber helps to make connections between our members and the community,” said Rodgers. “We strive to promote and amplify the marketing of all of our members and the City of Beavercreek through social media, in-person videos, blogs, our YouTube channel, newsletters, and Facebook Lives.  We also offer monthly networking events for our members and community to engage, educational seminars, and a Young Professional Networking group.  We are committed to providing support and giving back to our members.”

One of Rodger’s most proud achievements as the Chamber’s President and CEO is the creation of a Business Development Grant Fund, where the Chamber will award a grant of up to $8,000 to a member to help with start-up costs, technology upgrades, and/or expansion beginning in October 2022.

The Grand Marshal honor is chosen by the city’s 4th of July Committee and bestowed upon a person who has made a significant contribution to the City of Beavercreek through volunteer and/or professional efforts.

“I am truly humbled to be this year’s Grand Marshall,” said Rodgers.  “I have been honored to move the Chamber forward since August of last year and be a part of its growth.  The support on this journey from the membership, the City of Beavercreek and the community has been overwhelming both professionally and personally.  I have never felt this type of support in any other community.  I am proud to be a part of Beavercreek and represent the community in the 4th of July parade.”

In addition to her role with the Chamber, Rodgers is also President of the Kiwanis Club of Beavercreek; a member of the BNI Greene Team; on the Board of the Greene County Convention & Visitors Bureau; a member of the special events committee for the Dayton Area Board of Realtors; a member of the MVMAA organization; and secretary of her HOA association.

Rodgers grew up in a military family and was born in Springfield, Ohio while her father was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Growing up, she showed horses in 4-H and played soccer and basketball in high school. Rodgers has three grown children, a parrot named Boomer and a kitten named Grace.
