[ARCHIVED] Ready, Set, Explore! City of Beavercreek Launches Summer Challenge with Chance to Win Prizes

Explore Beavercreek

Whether you're a long-time resident or new to town, this summer is the perfect time to get outside and Explore Beavercreek— and maybe even win some sweet prizes while you're at it!

The City of Beavercreek has launched the Explore Beavercreek Challenge, an easy and fun way to enjoy Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture’s events, programs, and parks from May through August 2025. The challenge encourages participants to get active in the community by exploring local events, programs, and parks— all for a chance to win awesome prizes, including tickets to local attractions, gift cards, and other local goodies.

So, how do you join the challenge? It’s simple:

  1. Subscribe to the city’s newsletter.
If you’re already receiving updates about events, city news, and programs, congrats — you’re already one-third of the way there. If not, sign up online to stay in the know.
  2. Attend an event.
Head out to one of the city’s events— from the Summer Concert Series to Enchanted Tales and Tunes, or even the fireworks-packed Fourth of July Celebration. Don’t forget to take a photo to document your fun!
  3. Visit a park.
Explore any one of eight participating parks like Spring House Park or Fox Run Park. Snap another photo while you’re out exploring!

Once you’ve completed all three steps, upload your photos and submit your entry online by Friday, August 1, 2025. You don’t have to be a Beavercreek resident to enter, but submissions are limited to one per person.

Want to double your chances of winning? Post your adventure on social media using the hashtag #ExploreBeavercreek and tag the City of Beavercreek. While optional, doing so earns you a bonus entry—and you might even get featured on the city’s official channels.

“We created this challenge to spotlight all the amazing things the City of Beavercreek and its parks division has to offer,” said Communications Director Katy Carrico. “It’s a great way to get out, connect with the community, and maybe even discover a new favorite event, program, or park.”

Click here for more information about the challenge and to submit an entry. Winners will be contacted in the second week of August. For more information or questions, contact Communications Director Katy Carrico at carrico@beavercreekohio.gov.
