Location

Found on Unity Drive in the College Hills Plat, just off Varsity Drive north of New Germany-Trebein Road and east North Fairfield Road is the Reese-Petro Cemetery.

Brief History

This cemetery was established on the Reese homestead, which was the northwest quarter of section 29 purchased in 1800.

The Petro family were neighbors of the Reece family for many years. The cemetery contains about 32 gravestones including other family names including Ankeney, Booker, Duncan, Grindle, Miller, Petro, Reese(Rees), Stewart, Trubee, and Warner.
