Citizens Academy
Thank you for your interest in Beavercreek's Citizens Academy! This year's academy is full. We hope you will join us in 2026!
The City of Beavercreek's annual Citizens Academy is an eight-week program that offers behind-the-scenes access to city programs and services. This program provides an excellent opportunity for City of Beavercreek residents and business owners to learn about city departments and divisions and how they operate.
Each class focuses on a different city department or division, including finance, engineering, public service, parks, planning and development, police, communications, and more. A session is also held at the Beavercreek Township Fire Department as city residents utilize this service. The sessions are interactive and include activities such as facility tours, exploring equipment, and demonstrations.
This year's academy will be held Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. from August 21 through October 9, 2025. The academy is free of charge, and all City of Beavercreek residents and business owners are invited to participate. We encourage you to sign up as soon as possible as space is limited. We kindly ask that you do not sign up for the academy unless you are able to attend a minimum of six out of the eight classes.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about how the City of Beavercreek operates and how you can get involved in making Beavercreek an even better place to live and work!
For questions about the academy, please contact the city's Communications Director, Katy Carrico, at carrico@beavercreekohio.gov. If you haven't already, we highly encourage Beavercreek residents and business owners to check out the Beavercreek Police Department's Citizens Police Academy, which is a separate program that focuses solely on the police department.
